Wim Hof Workshops

Inspired Students

I decided to challenge myself to try something different and went into the Wim Hof workshop with no prior knowledge. Irene immediately makes you feel at ease with her calming presence. She is extremely knowledgeable and relates her own experiences throughout. I loved how she brought everyone at the workshop together by having us introduce ourselves. You never had to feel pressured to share or speak but within minutes she had us all feeling like a small community working toward a common goal together. I learned so much about Wim Hof, his life and work, his methods and so much more. We were made aware of how our own breathing is a tool you always carry with you and shown how to incorporate it into our everyday lives. During the ice bath I never expected how easily I would be able to sit right into it but with Irene's guidance I was able to relax in the ice for 1 minute. Afterwards, she helps you regain your body temperature with a short workout that she does right alongside you. She is with you every step of the way. You can see how much joy this brings her and I will definitely be attending another workshop of hers soon!

Irene's sound therapy session is a must! Relaxation is not something that comes easy for me (as I'm sure many people can relate). I was skeptical about trying this at first but Irene made me feel completely comfortable with her undivided attention to my needs. She provided an explanation of the practice of sound therapy and how the sound bowls work. She explained what I could possibly experience during the session so there were no surprises. This helped ease my nerves so I could relax and let go. I entered a meditative state for most of the session (which is hard for me) and felt refreshed, relaxed and rested after the session was completed. The effects lasted with me throughout the week and I decided to book another session. If you are looking for a holistic, non traditional, unique way to find more relaxation in your life you must see Irene! She has many other gifts, skills and certifications outside of sound therapy as well!

Irene exceeded my expectations as she took us through a holistic process using multiple techniques to perform the cold exposure properly and enjoy additional benefits. It was really inspiring to listen to her and motivated me to undertake this tough but rewarding journey as well as to push myself in other aspects of my life. I felt ready for the cold plunge and we went outside on the deck where Irene prepared the bath with cold water. After a few seconds I calmed my breathing and settled into the water and with Irene's support I made it through a minute in the very cold water. I couldn't recommend this experience more, it really was life changing as I am using all of the skills in that workshop today and starting my own mental and physical strengthening journey through cold exposure and the Wim Hof method.
